Cooking Fresh DTS

this memorial day it was all about eating fresh, staying healthy, and getting a tan! (it didn't rain yay!!)  my cousin casey and i headed out to the farmers market and picked up a few fresh goodies to make the fam a home down, heavy meal of sausage and peppers! omg it was so good!  casey's secret recipe is to add beer and a little bit of hot sauce to the mixture along with (1) can of tomato paste. i was skeptic but now am a believer, it was delish!

there's something about the shore that makes a beer taste a little better, makes the heat a little more bearable, makes everyone friendlier, and makes my skin a little tanner! at my hose we are not short of activities.  we have wake boards, standing surf boards, boats of all sizes, drunk games sober games... there is something for everyone.  this weekend was particularly interesting because there was a ruckus going on next store and these middle aged moms were getting down... i decided it was time and proceeded to show them the meaning of the word twerk. problem is i'm not sure if my two feet even made it up in the air and i'm so white my booty doesn't do "that"... until next time middle age moms, until next time.

Star Spangled Weekend!

memorial day traditionally marks the start of summer [ labor day marks the end ] this years mem day is looking hazy for the tri-state & jersey shore.. i'll be heading down to my house on long beach island to have some laughs with a house full of friends and family. fingers crossed that we do not get rain! but if the sun decides not to come out, this should brighten your day....see ya tuesday!

now let's get serious, with all the temptations that we'll encounter this weekend and the fact that summer is around the corner [ i'm slightly freaking out, a lil bit ] more than ever i need these girls. i suggest you follow them too!  follow the "tone it up" girls

this week is "fleet week" [ we should all say thank you to those in uniform ] its going on now until may 27th so head to NYC to check it out. i went a few years ago when my brother was in the navy. not only is the intrepid amazing and huge! but the boys in white serve as great [ no cal ] eye candy!

in honor of fleet week and those strong men & woman who bust their butts so we can have freedom & fanatic lives. in remembrance of their hard work & dedication... plus these pieces will look great in the beach house setting.

this show was A-MAZING!! pictures say 1000 words...this wall covering has LED lighting in it... i'll say it again... [ LED lighting in the wall covering! ] WOW. there were beautiful pieces everywhere you turned. my team and I were beyond inspired and we couldn't get enough. the furniture was unique and innovative, the tile was chic and fresh, & the art was rich and one of a kind. we gathered an exuberant information and connected with so many vendors, I will be sure to do more follow ups on my favs
